Successtory - Amy Keys
I had the incredible opportunity to work with Amy Keys, though I had no idea at the time just how extensive her career was. She has performed on some of the world’s most renowned stages, whether alongside Phil Collins or other global icons. Pick any legendary venue, from Wembley Stadium to the Hollywood Bowl, and chances are, she has sung there.
As a voice-over actor, she has been part of countless productions, bringing stories to life with her voice. And had I known she was mentioned in the Grammy Museum for her collaboration with Luther Vandross, I might have had to visit a colleague first just to calm my nerves!
But our meeting wasn’t about a specific issue, it was simply out of curiosity and a desire to refine certain moments in productions that had required extra effort. The reason? That natural pressure we put on ourselves when performing in front of respected colleagues’a common phenomenon that can create unnecessary stress.
So, we focused on one particular scene, using targeted tapping exercises and exploring any potential frustration that came with it. And sure enough, right in the middle of the session, she was already eager to dive back in and perform.
That’s the result of just a single session!
